Maddie Ziegler is just 13 years old, but the Dance Moms star is already releasing a memoir. The teen, who shot to fame on the reality dance show and has since starred in several of Sia’s music videos, will release The Maddie Diaries with Gallery Books in March 2017, People reports. The memoir will chronicle her rise to stardom, sharing advice and life lessons from the youngster.
“I’m honored to be given the chance to write about my journey,” she said in a press release. “My hope is to inspire others to always keep dreaming and push through the hardships because it’s so worth it to find something you are truly passionate about in life. Always be brave enough to live out your dreams.”
The So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation judge will also try her hand at fictional stories: Aladdin Books will release a trilogy of YA novels about competitive dance, written by Ziegler. “I’ve always been the type of person who really enjoys writing stories,” Ziegler told People. “So when I found out I would be writing books, I was so excited that I got started right away!”
The first book in the series will hit bookstores in fall 2017, with new additions coming out each following year.
As for your chance to see Ziegler on-screen, the teen will try her hand at acting alongside Jacob Tremblay in The Book of Henry, out in September. Dancing, writing and acting: Talk about a triple threat.
